Web Developer / Web Designer

PART-TIME (10-30 HOURS/MONTH), FULLY REMOTE

AMW Marketing & Design is a boutique branding, web design and marketing firm in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area, specializing in helping service businesses and non-profits upgrade their online presence, automate processes and increase search traffic. Since 2013, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses nationwide achieve greater professional success by launching and redefining beautiful brands and websites that generate steady revenue while also highlighting their unique personality and competitive differentiators. We are minority and woman-owned with a diverse list of clientele. We are currently seeking a Web Developer / Web Designer to support the development, optimization, and functionality of client websites built on WordPress.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in web design and development
  • Strong experience building and customizing websites using WordPress
  • Experience with website performance optimization and page speed improvements
  • Knowledge of technical SEO implementation including metadata, schema, site structure, and indexing
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
  • Experience working with website integrations such as CRMs, email marketing platforms, payment systems, and automation tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high design and functionality standards
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with marketing, design, and leadership teams
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build responsive, user-friendly websites using WordPress for company clients and potentially the Divi theme
  • Customize themes, templates, and layouts to align with brand identity and marketing goals
  • Implement technical SEO best practices including site structure, page indexing, schema markup, and metadata optimization
  • Improve website speed and performance through optimization of images, code, plugins, and hosting configurations
  • Integrate websites with third-party platforms including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics, and payment systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, plugins, or integrations
  • Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, secure, and optimized for search engine performance
  • Collaborate with the marketing and branding team to implement website updates and new features
  • Maintain and update existing client websites to ensure functionality, performance, and security
  • Document technical processes and provide recommendations for website improvements and new functionality

PAY

This job pays $50/hour.
