AMW Site Designs hires First Intern, Interview with Renard Edwards

This past summer, AMW Site Designs was pleased to hire our first intern, Renard Edwards II. Renard joined the company as our Graphic and Web Design intern and has assisted with client and company graphic design projects as well as client websites. Renard is originally from the Washington, DC area and currently resides in Oxon Hill, MD. We conducted a short interview with Renard so that our fans can learn more about him too!

Q: What was your background before working for AMW Site Designs? A: My background before working for AMW Site Designs includes a myriad of experiences. I was a professional driver for UM-Shuttle, UPS, and MetroAccess before pursuing my dream of visual arts. I got a taste of that shortly before AMW in freelancing for several organizations and for a local real estate agent while in undergrad.

Q: Where did you go to college? A: I attended University of Maryland: College Park (2008-2013) finishing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Arts.

Q: What do you like to do for fun? A: I like to draw, discuss philosophies, play various sports (basketball, football, baseball), watching anime, playing my drum set, and learn ancient history.

Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself? A: I can read backwards & upside-down.

Q: How’s your experience been so far working at AMW Site Designs? A: It’s been a great learning experience so far, also there is focus on teamwork that makes an awesome work environment.

Q: What are you looking forward to doing in the future with the company? A: I’m looking forward to expanding my skillset, and make AMW Site Designs indelible to the graphic and web design world.

Q: What do you see yourself doing in 10 years? A: I see myself becoming a master of my craft. Also I see myself taking on a more supervisory role within the company, and ultimately becoming a partner in AMW.
